Ugunja Development Initiative (UDI) is a youth-focused and women-led community-based organization (CBO) that was established in 2016 in Ugunja Sub County-Siaya County. As a non-profit organization, UDI has continued to work with communities, partners, and multi-stakeholders to contribute to improved community health systems and increase investment in essential health services. Dissemination of information is a key focus, particularly on the sexual reproductive health and rights of women, the youth, and persons with disability. 

We have operated in Siaya County, Kenya, since 2018 and created a strong adolescent, youth, and young people’s network that engages effectively with the national and Siaya County government, the private sector, and other stakeholders accountable for health systems. We actively advocate for the delivery of equitable, accessible, and high-quality SRHR services that contribute to the growth and development of vulnerable population.
